Agencies 'disappointed' with online media
Agencies are disappointed overall with the service of online media owners, according to the results of a bi-annual survey by the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA).
Those who saw their satisfaction score decline the most included Yahoo.com, E-type, Adlink Internet Media and AOL (UK), which have each seen a decline of six percentage points or more.
However, social networking site Bebo saw the greatest decline at 7.9 per cent.
On the other hand, DrivePM, Facebook, MySpace, Unanimis, Times Online and MSN.co.uk have seen overall satisfaction increase by five per cent or more since September.
Says Nigel Gwilliam, head of digital at IPA, said: "Whilst there are bright spots in the display market, we are disappointed to see overall levels of satisfaction have declined for a majority of media owners versus the previous survey in autumn 2007.
"The online ad market has grown nearly 40 per cent year-on-year, let's hope the bullishness in the market is not leading some media owners to be complacent about service."
