AOL's Platform A signs new deal with Verizon
AOL's advertising business Platform-A has been selected by telephone company Verizon as the major advertising provider for its online and mobile web content.
The Time Warner company will represent all of Verizon's advertising space on the internet, including premium space. Platform-A will also manage the sale of the majority of Verizon's Wireless web advertising inventory.
Lynda Clarizio, president of Platform-A, said that AOL looked forward to "helping marketers reach the right people in engaging and measurable ways".
"We're pleased to have the opportunity to work with a great partner like Verizon to manage and monetise their online and mobile advertising inventory."
John Harrobin, senior vice president of digital media and marketing at Verizon, went on to add: " We have been working with Platform-A's mobile ad serving platform, Third Screen Media, for more than a year now, and they have done a great job connecting large brand advertisers with our mobile network and educating the industry about mobile marketing."
The value of the new deal has not been disclosed.
