Feedburner announces Adsense integration

Feedburner, the news feed management provider acquired by Google in 2007, has revealed that it has begun integrating its site with that of the search engine.

The Feedburner blog revealed that selected publishers would be offered "the opportunity to sign in using their Google Account and experience FeedBurner, now as part of the Google".

According to the entry, it might be hard for users to notice the initial differences to the site, although it did say it might become "a bit Googlier around the edges".

"Following on the footsteps of this account migration, FeedBurner will start to look and feel more like a set of Google services, and we will be completing much tighter integration into other Google services such as Google AdSense," the blog explained.

It was also revealed that feed advertisers using Feedburner could soon expect "some happy surprises".

The blog concluded: "If you are an advertiser who is not yet a feed advertiser, you too shall be blessed with good fortune."

Feedburner was designed to offer custom RSS feeds and management tools to bloggers, podcasters and other web content publishers. It features an optional advertising system which is now used by around two thirds of users.
