Google Adwords 'blown out of water' by Microsoft

With the launch of Microsoft's new adCenter Community site yesterday (March 17th), Google ought to be worried, according to one search engine blogger.

Writing on Marketing Pilgrim, David Snyder describes the leading search engine's Adwords as being well known for its "sub par customer service", adding that the Microsoft's adCenter customer service program "already blows its competition out of the water".

Carolyn Miller, a Microsoft program manager, said on the company's welcoming blog: "In order to contribute to our credo of delivering world class service, we have been working diligently to deliver an online experience that enables our advertisers through a variety of interactive communication channels."

She listed features of the new adCenter Community site, including product/service specific blogs, categorised user forums, multimedia distribution including video interviews, audio podcasts and training videos and user profiles.

Snyder added that Google Adwords employees should not get complacent, particularly considering an impending merger of Yahoo and Microsoft.

"A competitive share of the market plus superior customer service and training programs could give Microsoft an edge in the push for online advertising dollars," he warns.ADNFCR-1536-ID-18513681-ADNFCR
