Organic search to return, marketing specialist predicts
Marketers should be involving more "natural" searches alongside paid search campaigns into their campaigns, according to an integrated online marketing company.
Tim Kauffold, director of business development for Oneupweb's, has said that both methods "perform better together than they do separately", reports MediaPost Publications.
"Greater awareness of a website created by a paid ad can lead to more natural traffic. In similar fashion, people are logically more likely to click on a paid promotional ad of marketers they recognise, such as those they've encountered during a natural search."
He added that marketers were becoming more surprised by the rising costs in the industry, a reason why some were turning to lower cost search advertising.
The advantages of organic search results over paid searches were recently discussed in an article on Promotion World, which highlighted the tendency of surfers to click on organic results as opposed to paid ones.
"Ranking in the organic searches might be a slow process but it is a more steady and persistent where as PPC campaigns are temporary and require regular monetary investment in order to reflect results," added the publication.
