Pioneering best practice guidelines for B2B marketing sector

For the first time ever, an alliance made up of marketing associations is embarking on the task of drawing up a set of best practice guidelines for the industry.

To be led by the B2B Committee of the Direct Marketing Association (DMA), alongside six other organisations including internet marketing bodies, the alliance will be conducting the work with an intention to raise the profile and standard of B2B marketing communications.

Deputy chair of the B2B Committee and agency head of 100 Percent Direct Marketing, Michael Howe, said: "The DMA B2B Committee has done a lot of work to raise and set standards for B2B direct marketing.

"The Best Practice Alliance will enable us to build on those standards to create the first and most comprehensive set of guidelines for the whole business to business marketing communications sector."

Six marketing communications trade bodies and eight DMA councils are currently involved, including the Internet Advertising Bureau, the Institute of Direct Marketing and The Market Research Society.ADNFCR-1536-ID-18497897-ADNFCR
